Iran Sports Journalists Association holds fifth Ski and Media Workshop
TEHRAN, November 16, 2025 – In line with strengthening media activities in skiing and winter sports, and through the efforts of the Specialized Committee for Skiing and Winter Sports of the IRAN Sports Journalists Association and the Skiing and Winter Sports Federation, the fifth Ski and Media Workshop was held at the National Olympic Committee.At the beginning, Dr. Reza Shajie, as the instructor of this workshop, discussed topics on modern communication methods and media, and the attendees engaged in a question-and-answer session.In another part of the workshop, Manoochehr Zandi, honorary AIPS EC member, spoke about the necessities of media and journalist accompaniment in Iran, stating that the high capacity of winter sports disciplines in European countries has been able to gain public attention as an important discipline through the use of media, and this model should be strengthened in Iran by forming groups of specialists and enthusiasts who themselves participate in skiing
In this event, topics related to the environment were also taught by Dr. Omidi Jafari, a member of the Environment Commission of the National Olympic Committee, with a focus on the actions of Winter Olympic hosts since 2002.In this workshop, Payam Nazar, the head of the Specialized Ski Commission of the Association, presented a report on attendance at the global summit and the formation of specialist members in the 4 Seasons Ski publication and the Federation’s Media Commission, outlining the committee’s programs and actions taken.Additionally, Keyvan Mohabi, the editor-in-chief of the 4 Seasons Ski magazine and secretary of the Specialized Ski and Media Committee, also shared remarks on publication and media actions.In this workshop, for the first time, Bahram Saveh Shemshaki the president of the Skiing and Winter Sports Federation, while present, referred to the importance of this committee and the federation’s accompaniment in achieving media goals for the development of skiing and winter sports, stating that environmental and sustainability issues in sports are of high priority, and to raise public awareness and build culture, the capacity of media activists and members of the Specialized Ski and Media Committee should be utilized.He thanked the organizers of this workshop as well as the National Olympic Committee, which has provided the necessary support to the Skiing Federation in this regard.At the end of this session, to honor influential individuals in media and winter sports, plaques of appreciation and commemorative statues were awarded to Manoochehr Zandi, Eisa Saveh Shemshaki, Mehdi Kia Darbandsari, Ali Kaveh, Hassan Mirza Aghabeik, Morteza Nazar, Dr. Reza Shajie, and Mostafa Mirhashemi, and they were appreciated.
